THE GUYS

BISS Kel Simoon Gagarumi
(Multi Ch. Idi Issa 'n shat-ehad X BISS Multi Ch. Kel Simoon Essari, FCh)

Since starting his show career in 2003, Rumi has consistently won and received rave reviews from all the judges. Among his many show wins, he was Best in Specialty Show at the American Azawakh Association's National Specialty in July 2004 over an entry of 39 Azawakhs. He's a large boned boy, very dark red, correct and light mover, attractive markings and great disposition. Rumi is owned by Andy Meier and Rhonda Mann. He was the sire of our incredible K litter co-bred with Norma Spivey of Tennessee. Rumi usually resides in WV with his co-owner, Andy Meier, but he's a frequent visitor!

Jeloun 'n shat-ehad, FCh.
(Biyanou X Multi CH, World Ch. Kel Simoon Cafya)
Azawakh 'n shat-ehad

Jeloun is Dayyat's grandson. Louni has a super temperament, incredibly long straight legs, excellent underline and format. Overall, a GREAT guy! He is the sire of the Simoon I and J litters. Born in September 200,1, he started his ASFA lure coursing career in October 2002 and ranked #1 for 2002, 2003 and 2004 .  He was bred by Ursula Arnold of Azawakhs 'n shat-ehad.

Kel Simoon In Chenan
(Jeloun 'n shat-ehad, FCh X Multi SBIS, Multi Ch. Kel Simoon Essari, FCh.)

"Chen Chen" as he is known at home is a great boy! Easy going, fun loving, and sweet, Chen looks just like his Grandmamma Cinnamon, but he's all boy!

Al Hara's Voodoo
(Gandhi of Wuthering Heights X Al Hara's Pilicia)
Al Hara's Azawakhs

Conny Schandara

Through his father Gandhi, Voodoo's pedigree brings another African import unknown in the US,  plus his coloration is interesting and beautiful! Gandhi has three obedience titles and is working in agility.  Voo is sweet, silly and fun to live with! He likes to lead us around with his mouth on our hands or play bow on the backs of our legs while we attempt to walk through the house!
Many thanks to Conny (Gandhi's owner) and Ingrid for sending us this lovely young dog!

THE GIRLS

SBIS ARBA Gr. CH Kel Simoon Celie, FCC
(Dayyat 'n shat-ehad X Kel Tarbanassen GuerouGuerou)
Shown here at 13 years

Celie, born in 1994, is affectionately know as the "Big Butt" or the "Amazon". As a youngster, Celie won a Specialty Best in Show at the ARBA Cherry Blossom Classic under Judge Brody from Hungary. There were over 500 dogs entered at that show. She went on to become the second Azawakh Field Champion under the ASFA Miscellaneous Stake Rules. A back injury, while coursing in the International Invitational in 1999, ended her field career. She still enjoys coursing in practice. Her favorite things are schmoozing the couch after she eats, sleeping in the bed, and getting lots of "rubbies" from anyone who is available! Rhonda and I constantly argue to each other that, "She's MY Ceel-butt!" An animal communicator once told us that Celie truly belongs to both of us and could not imagine her life without us. Celie was never bred.

Kel Simoon Deva
(Dayyat 'n shat-ehad X Kel Tarbanassen Edchit)
Shown here at 13 years

Deva returned to us as an 11 year old through a rescue situation in North Carolina. Her brothers, Diallo and Dion and another male, Eheouel, died before they could be rescued. Fortunately, Deva was heartworm negative and in comparatively good condition compared with the 65 other dogs who were rescued (mostly Greyhounds and Pharaoh Hounds, but also Dalmations, Italian Greyhounds and Cocker Spaniels). She is definitely happy to be home and loves flirting with the boys!

Multi BISS CH Kel Simoon Essari, FCH
(CH Amastan Kel Air X SBIS Multi CH Kel Simoon Cinnamon, FCC)
The lovely Essari.
Beautiful, versatile, exceptional!

Essari was BISS at the 2000 National Specialty in St. Louis, MO and again in 2005 in Remington, VA. Following in her Mother's and Aunt Celie's footsteps, Essari is the third and last Azawakh to be awarded the prestigious FCC coursing title . Essari, Cinnamon and Celie were inducted in the ASFA Hall of Fame in 2003. She took time out in the summer of 2001 to raise a litter of pups (G Litter). Essari chose Multi CH. Idi Issa 'n shat-ehad, owned by Jennifer Sheik and bred by Ursula Arnold for the father of her litter.  In 2003, she whelped a litter with Jeloun 'n shat-ehad (Kel Simoon I litter)
She has been ranked #1 Azawakh in ASFA Lure Coursing for 2000-2002 and was the first Azawakh to earn the title of Field Champion in early 2002.
Known as Rhonda's Princess, she is quite large for a bitch at about 27 inches tall, but carries it off with her very refined head and body. Her name is a Tamasheq word for a "pearl made out of glass". For many people who meet her, she is the epitome of Azawakh, VERY arrogant, very dry and elegant, yet friendly with all she meets.

Kel Simoon Juliyama (with Maryanne Whippet)
(Jeloun 'n shat-ehad, FCh X Rima ak Ilaman)

Juli is a gorgeous Azawakh, incredible mover and amazingly fast. She's sweet and loving pet, though she's not very friendly with strangers! We always say that if Juli likes you then you are "certifiably insane!"  She does seem to gravitate to people who are, shall we say, a little odd, LOL We're hoping at some point to try her on the coursing field and see if she'll run.
Because of her temperament, Juli has never been bred.

Kel Simoon Kirfa 'n Sambala
(BISS Kel Simoon Gagarumi X Ch Wind 'n Satin E/Z Passage)

Kirfa is our rising star! She was made to order as I told her co-breeder, Norma Spivey, that I wanted a beautiful brindle girl with high white. BOY, did I get my wish! Kirfa is everything I wanted and more. Her temperament is incredible, sweet, kind and easy going. In conformation, she's one of the most pretty and feminine females I've seen in a long time. She likes to course, is pointed in the show ring and is a joy to live with. Everyone who meets her, wants to take her home! What more could I ask for?

Kirfa is pregnant!
She is due early November 2007

Borial 'n Agzir
( Soundjatta X Tesaouit 'n Agzir)
Azawakh 'n Agzir

Imported from the very successful French Azawakh breeder, Magali Dumont,
Borial is an exciting addition to our breeding program.  Borial brings another African
import and some interesting old European lines.
Borial is petite, but extremely athletic and loves to run!
Shown here at 10 months, she shows a lot of lure coursing
interest and we hope to get her out running in late 2007.

Ettebel Afella
(Multi Ch. Tombouktou's Qulood X WeWille Dari)

Afella is the latest addition to our household. She carries some bloodlines previously
unknown in the US, while her coloration is interesting and beautiful. Dogs from her
bloodline carry the blue gene, so we're hoping that she will produce some
interesting colors for Simoon. Afella is friendly, calm and easy going.
